Related: About this forumIs there a coordinated car tire sabotage campaign going on right now?
On Thursday, I arrived at work to the news that one of my colleagues and his wife, both of whom drive Teslas, had their tires vandalized. Each of them found seven nails in one of their tires.
I dont drive a Tesla, but I just found out, at my local tire store I came to to have them check out a leak in one of my tires, that I was targeted, too. Seven nails in my rear passenger-side tire.
What the hell is going on?

(643 posts)Is statistically highly unlikely to be random? I mean, if they were all parked in the same lot or the same street, then it's more likely to be one person doing it, but the location(s) where it happened are unknown or unspecified to us readers, so I can't speak to that possibility.

Years ago cars were getting set on fire all over the Hollywood area. It was one guy.

(643 posts)or persons. And I say that only because the count of nails being exactly 7 in all 3 cases. So, that's all I meant. Whether it's specifically 'persons' (i.e. a collaboration) is much more of a stretch, I stipulate to that, however there's no indication how far away any of these cars normally are from one another which is a key data point in that assessment

But to your question, I dont know, maybe?
Yikes, all 3 of you! And 7?
Telsa tires cost a ton. All tires do but wowie.
Somebody's trying to drum up some business. Thoughts?

I don't mind Tesla showrooms and cars at those showrooms being vandalized. I don't support the private owner of one of those pieces of shit being targeted.
You are entitled to your thoughts and responsible for your actions. I support neither yet respect your autonomy. Peace
