When Im there I always walk in front of cars and make them wait. I want it to be the most unsatisfying short cut they ever took

so business can be conducted then the street is blocked so only pedestrian use. Wish we had more places like that.

Fußgängerzone. An extensive area entirely prohibited to cars, and for pedestrians only.
Leave it to the Germans to come up with the perfect name for it.

No deliveries, no contractors, utilities, public safety etc. They can hand carry everything in.
