Memorial Stadium replacement project gets $30 million boost from donors

The team leading the effort to replace Seattle Center's Memorial Stadium has secured more funding for the project.

On Thursday, project lead One Roof Stadium Partnership announced it has secured $30 million from donors for the redevelopment. The donations are in addition to more than $110 million in public funding secured for the project, which has an estimated total cost of between $130 million and $150 million.

"Replacing Memorial Stadium with a new state-of-the-art facility is a win for Seattle students, families and our entire community," Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell said in a news release.

Stadium owner Seattle Public Schools and the city selected One Roof Stadium Partnership to construct and operate the new Memorial Stadium after announcing the group as a potential partner in 2023. SPS will retain ownership and priority use.
