Its awesome if you are eloquent and can think of how to write this yourself
But, I couldnt. So, I had to copy and paste from the cheat sheet.
Copy and paste a paragraph or as many as you want from the cheat sheet.
Comments are limited to 3,000 characters.
You can even say something very simple like, Im against this redistricting. It is unfair.
Your testimony will go on record as being against the redistricting. This is important because this redistricting will go to court. Your opposition to it and why you oppose it will be preserved for the court to review when they make their decisions about the maps.
Tips:
Try not to sound too partisan in your comments.
I avoided the terms Trump and Republican in my comments, and replaced them with "President of the United States" and "political gain instead.
Emphasize that representation for communities of colors will be diluted
Emphasize that the process is rushed, unfair and not transparent etc
IMPORTANT: IF YOU ARE GOING TO AUSTIN, ALSO SUBMIT YOUR TESTIMONY ONLINE. THEY ARE LIMITING TESTIMONY TO FIVE HOURS.
RALLY AT 12:30 PM with Beto, Greg Casar, Gina Hinojosa and more!!
If you miss submitting your comments before this hearing dismisses there will be two other hearings you can select from on June 26 and June 28
