NCSBE MEETING TODAY July 16th, 2026
THIS IS WHY I KEEP POST THESE DAMN MEETINGS.

A very good explanation of the situation:

BREAKING The North Carolina State Board
of Elections has adopted a rule that hands one party the
power to unilaterally trash ballots.
The threshold for discarding voter ID exception ballots has
been officially lowered from unanimous bipartisan
agreement to a simple majority vote. And with all 100 county
boards under Republican control, that majority is almost
guaranteed.
This mechanism will now let whichever party controls a
county board discard ballots without any check from the
other side
With razor-thin margins deciding races up and down the
ballot, this is a serious threat to fair elections in North
Carolina.

We Have to Vote in Overwhelming Numbers
BECAUSE THEY PLAN TO VOID OUR VOTES.

I'm mad as hell.

My previous post.

Hometown Holler post:
...That's
significant in a state where two elections since 2020 were
decided by fewer than 1,000 votes out of more than 5 million
cast. Supporters say majority-rule is more practical; critics
say it removes the only check against partisan ballot
rejection.

In any way ?
It doesn’t sound legal if one party can toss votes without a legal challenge .
