Info from Indivisible on No Kings Day

Thursday, June 5th, 2025

President Trump wants to be able to rule this country based on nothing but his own vindictive whims, but in this country, WE DON’T DO KINGS.

Next Saturday, we’ll show the world. Are you ready?

As of writing this, there are 1636 events scheduled in 13 countries, with more being added every day. The energy for this movement is growing, so let’s make sure we’re prepared and these events are as big as possible.

Get Ready!
One of the foundations of No Kings is non-violence. We expect our activists to follow this ideal, and we’re working behind the scenes to try to ensure safety for all participants. But there are some things that each of you can do to help.

Attend the ACLU’s Know Your Rights training on Tuesday, June 10, at 7pm ET/4pm PT or en Español a las 8:15pm ET. Whether you’re marching, rallying, or supporting from the sidelines, you’ll learn how to protect yourself, your community, and stand up for your rights. We’ll make sure you know your rights during protests and law enforcement encounters and are prepared to take action safely, powerfully, and together.

If you can’t attend the training, check out the ACLU’s Know Your Rights guide. It’s important that we all have a baseline knowledge of exactly what is covered by our First Amendment right to assemble and what is not. Brush up on your knowledge before you head out.

Check out Indivisible’s Safety, Security, and Digital Preparedness for a Second Trump Administration Resource. We are in a different time where the digital intersects with the physical, and we need to be prepared for both worlds. Check out Indivisible’s guide for tips about how to protect yourself and your fellow activists through preparedness and deescalation.

Get Loud!

We want these events to be big -- the biggest single day of protest of President Trump’s second term -- and we’re working hard to make that true. But we need your help. Our personal connections are always the best way to get people from the couch out into the streets with us, so we need you to spread the word about No Kings Day.

Use our social tools to easily share your No Kings support on social media. We’ve got a simple way to share some pre-written promotion for No Kings Day (complete with graphics!) on social media. Scroll sideways to see your different options and click on the dropdown to choose which social media site you want to post on. You can also download printable posters and graphics directly here.

Edit your display name on your social media accounts to include these two emojis: ❌👑. It will help generate buzz as folks dig into what it means -- example below. No Kings Day is not just about opposing President Trump; it is about reminding the people that this country was founded upon the ideal that the power resides with them. When we take to the street with one voice to denounce these attempts to consolidate power in the hands of the greedy and hateful, we take control of our future.

We reject tyranny. We choose freedom.

Help us make this day larger and more joyous than any that has come before. Invite your friends, family, coworkers, and even strangers to join in. We are stronger together, and we can’t wait to raise our voices with you on June 14.

See you in the streets,

The No Kings Team

You're receiving this post of the email that I received from Indivisible, a national partner for No Kings.

A core principle behind No Kings is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events.

Indivisible Project is a locally-led, people-powered movement of thousands of local groups in red, blue, and purple states, and in urban, suburban, and rural areas. Our mission is to power and lift up a grassroots movement of local groups to defeat the Trump agenda, elect progressive leaders, and realize bold progressive policies.

I’ll be participating with many fellow Vermonters.

Hope the non-violent foundation holds. Otherwise broken windows become the story instead of the disgusting, criminal fascist in the White House.

I printed my sign across 4 sheets of paper and taped them on a 20x30 corrugated plastic board. Happy to say, my daughter will be going with me, so she's designing her own sign.
