County Boards of Election Offer ways to Avoid Heat Ahead of Tuesday Primary

UTICA, N.Y. -- With extreme heat expected to affect the voting for Tuesday's state primary, local Board of Elections officials are reminding voters of ways to beat the heat.

Residents of Oneida County are encouraged to take advantage of early voting, which runs from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Early voting will be held at Mohawk Valley Community College's Alumni College Center in Utica, the New Hartford Town Hall and the South Rome Senior Center.

You can also request a mail-in ballot by the end of the day on Monday. Ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday, June 24th.

In Herkimer County, early voting will be held at the County Office Building on Mary Street.
