ALBANY Brooklyn State Sen. Martin Golden came under fire Monday after an aide shared Facebook posts that compared Democrats and gun control advocates including a survivor of the Parkland, Fla., school shooting to Nazis.
Golden staffer Anthony Testaverde on Saturday shared Facebook posts that included one from the group The Common Sense Conservative with a picture of a Parkland survivor with his right arm extended placed next to a picture of Adolf Hitler in the same pose with the caption: I knew something was off about this kid.
Another post said, The Democrats are doing exactly what Hitler did
He used the youth to disarm and control the people. This is scary!
Golden, a Republican, initially declined to speak to a Daily News reporter about Testaverdes posts when he was approached outside the Senate chamber Monday. I got a meeting, he said before ducking into a lounge for Senate members only.

(128,150 posts)but I usually don't take the considerations of a low-post member into account when I have plenty of other long term members that are very happy with what I do.
Do you have the same criticisms of posters who monopolize the LBN and GD forums? I post most articles in the "Places" group. If you don't want to see my posts then you can go to the Latest Threads page and select the first drop down menu to change it to "Main + Topics".
Personally, I think there a lot of people that like to see any news that doesn't involve Trump or refighting the primaries. I'm sorry that I don't live in a Pollyanna world, but news that isn't always positive does occur and people do want to know about it.
By the way, you remind me of another low-post retread that made similar comments to me.

(14,757 posts)A post that lets good people know about a bad person is a good thing. Also it details the fact that many do not approve and are speaking out which empowers others. If we just let bad people do bad things and never publicize their actions, they get away with it. Because of this story perhaps some will write in to demand he resign for instance. Some may live in his riding.
