A good show? Is it a mystery? Anybody watch? I'm home bound and always looking for something to watch

1. The series is very good. The movie they put out recently is awful.

Absolutely agree with you on both your points. I would highly recommend the series but I've not yet seen the follow up film.

8. The series is excellent but the movie sucked.

I don't know how a fine actor like Idris Elba allowed himself to be dragged into that hot mess.

I love Idris and was psyched to see him as Roland and Matthew McConnehey as Flagg but… they tried to jam random bits from the entire series of 7 looong books into one movie, made the kid the central character in order to make the definitely R rated source material into a PG13 movie for teenagers, and totally removed three extremely important characters, among numerous other disastrous changes to that epic story. Ugh.

I often wonder why those two fine actors decided to be involved in that mess.
