Whoopi Goldberg Shares A Health Update on 'The View'

Whoopi Goldberg is doing better after almost dying from pneumonia, she revealed Friday in a video message on 'The View'.

The 63-year-old actor has been absent from her usual hosting duties on 'The View' for over a month due to health problems.

I'm happy for Whoopi, but after Alex Trebek's health update earlier this week, I'm afraid to open any post with that kind of title.

It seems a lot more black people get pneumonia that white folks (I've had it once, it's miserable) - is it a health issue or what? I truly don't know. A good friend and neighbor suffered through it for a MONTH last winter. Regular health care, etc, insurance, etc, but DAYUM.....
