Related: About this forumMy cooktop with a pot.

Why am I posting this? Well, several months ago, that burner stopped working, and I thought it could never be fixed. So I left it. Then another burner quit and that was too much. I decided to explore finding someone who's competent at this sort of thing, and see what can be done.
Long story short, it was accomplished. I was very happy. And tonight I got to use that burner for the first time in a long time.
I'm celebrating!

(304 posts)MY favorite part of that picture is that pan, right up front.
I recognize it from the shape, especially that handle: Revereware.
We had several of those all the way back in the seventies,
and my parents still have and use them to this day.
Wonderful cookware!
You keep yours well, too! That pan shines like the day you bought it,
even as the handle tells a much longer tale. I'd guess it's boiled
a lot of vegetables over many, many years.
If I might ask, does that copper bottom have the double ring around the logo?
CaliforniaPeggy
(157,405 posts)You are correct: this is one of my Revereware pans! It has seen many such vegetables over many years. I no longer remember just how long I've had it.
The current dishwasher is great on the copper bottom! It polishes so well. Love the color!
As for the copper bottom having a double ring around the logo, I have no idea! But I will look and if I find it, you will see another photo!
