Thank you.

(155,708 posts)Thank you for finding out just what that is! The sign was facing the other way and I didn't feel like walking around it!
Never saw one of those before either.
I'm so grateful that you enjoy my work this much!

(155,708 posts)LoisB figured out what it is: a Buddha citron. I'd never seen one or heard of it either!

I always look forward to your market pics.

(155,708 posts)They really do look wonderful. I should buy one just to see how they taste!

(155,708 posts)Just being there makes me hungry! It's a great market.

(98,860 posts)I love the food!*
And the flowers are beautiful, as usual. I do like the effect in the first eucalyptus picture.
*Right now I am starving, haven't been able to keep anything down since late Sunday, I have tendinitis in all the tendons associated with my glutes which interrupts my digestion. I need PT last month, now in a critical state, I went to a walk-in place and was told, after 90 minutes of waiting, that I will be seen when someone can schedule it. Well great, I can't eat until the PT happens so I guess I'm going to lose a bunch of weight. I still have to move AGAIN in a few weeks, hiring help for that one. But I can't eat! Not sure how long before I get help but I'm pretty damn exhausted and hungry and all I can keep down is water right now, eating anything solid becomes a disaster an hour later. No amount of anti-emetics help because it's not my stomach, those just make things worse if you don't need them. Ugh. It's also very uncomfortable to sit or stand and the pain is strong.

(155,708 posts)I'm really glad you enjoyed my photos, but my god, not being able to eat??? Yikes.
How about hitting an urgent care or maybe an emergency room? This sounds dangerous. Please take care of you!

(98,860 posts)Not sure anyone in an ER can do what I need, pressure point therapy. The place I went to, supposedly soon to be my provider, has chiropractors and claim that they can provide the same treatment. Maybe she shouldn't have told me they're chiropractors, I was told to avoid them.
Either way, I have to wait. I found my box of teas so I am going to sip on those for tonight. I'm starting with cbd hemp tea and see what I feel like after that. I don't have stuff to make smoothies in the house right now. Maybe a trip to the store tomorrow, I did find my smoothie maker a little while ago, though.
It's just miserable but I know I will survive for another painful day tomorrow. Maybe I'll hear from the provider by tomorrow, if not, I'll be looking for an urgent care but I think they are it in my area.

(155,708 posts)CBD sounds promising. Maybe it might help reduce your pain.
The ER could at least refer you to someone expert in what you need.
You're in my thoughts.

(98,860 posts)PT is always a waiting game, I have always had to wait days if not weeks to see someone but if I don't wait until I'm in trouble, they won't refer me. Our medical system needs an overhaul.

(21,953 posts)It's gray and overcast here today, so these colorful images are just what I need right now. Nice work!

(155,708 posts)The bright colors always draw me in. Can't resist them!
It's overcast here today too, and I really prefer bright sunlight over nearly anything else!

Please forgive my ignorance, but what are the purple things? They look like green beans but green beans are not purple.
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,708 posts)I'm so glad you enjoy them. I enjoy taking them, and fixing them up and then posting them. It's a creative action and I am nourished whenever I do it.
The purple things are indeed part of the bean family! I didn't ask the vendor but they must be related to green beans! As soon as I saw them, I had to catch them. Such an amazing color!

(5,271 posts)Every one of those is spectacular, Peggy. I can feel the textures of the pastries in my mouth, berries and cream and crust and crumb.
Somehow you have caught how muted sunlight enriches color. The last red plume is wonderful in detail.
Thanks, Peggy. I am glad I saved your pictures for this morning.
We have a couple of inches of snow on the ground. No colorful flowers here for a while.
Good luck today.

(155,708 posts)I'm so glad you're enjoying my photos. I really had a great time yesterday getting these. I'd gotten the perfect parking spot and so I didn't have to walk very to get to my car. I had a lot more energy as a result.
The overcast sky is good for enriching the color and I took full advantage of that! My camera has an exposure compensation ring and I use it liberally to make changes right before I take the photo. It really works!
Thank you for noticing!
Wow, snow on the ground? Yikes. But it has its own beauty.
And thank you for the good wishes for today. I too hope it will go well.
