Related: About this forumIt's been pretty quiet 'round the farm this week. New barn to start build next Friday.
About the most excitement was when I dropped three pop bottles on the pantry floor. Would've been more exciting if I'd opened one . . .
And it's exciting when the electric glass kettle boils a litre of room temperature water in 3 minutes and 40 seconds to pour over coffee grounds or tea.
We got excited when we first fired up the natural gas stove.
Our daughter and her Boxer Pepper came over for an exciting visit.
Leaving to go home she took this picture of our house at sunset.
If you've not yet seen this photo, Laurie's new colorful table runner was lit up by late day sunlight. That was exciting to see.
I had an exciting session with my new Leg Compression Massager with Heat for Circulation, Medical-Grade Compression Boots. Even more exciting was finding out that Laurie snuck in a picture of the booties. Sneaky woman!!
KC was highly excited to "help" put this post together this morning.
And of course mucking is always exciting not.
The best is saved for last my other half on her tractor at day's end.
Thanks for stopping by.

(10 posts)What a lovely window into the kind of peace most of us forget to celebrate. From fizzless pop bottles to a glowing sunset captured just right, its the small, warm rhythms of home life that make posts like this such a joy to read.
Lauries sneaky snapshot of those compression boots gave me a chuckle now thats some behind-the-scenes documentary-level storytelling! And KCs editorial input? Impeccable, obviously.
But that final image in my mind your partner on the tractor at day's end thats pure Americana poetry. Thank you for reminding us that even a quiet week on the farm can be filled with moments worth framing.
PS: That kettle time? Impressive. Makes me want to go time mine now 😂
