(1,739 posts)The flowers are absolutely gorgeous.
PS is that Romanesco broccoli? Just curious.
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,362 posts)I loved it all today!
And yes, that is the Romansco broccoli. Someday (not saying when!) I will work up my courage and try photographing that with my new 60mm macro lens.

(153,362 posts)I don't know what they are, but I loved them!
The flowers really get me.

(3,968 posts)Is that a comment on lack of people to pick them?
Whats with the sharknado tree? 😉 😉

I photograph the stuff that captures my interest! There is a lot of repetition in the weekly markets. My choices have nothing to do with whoever's picking them!
Sharknado? I've heard the word, but I don't think this is such a thing. It's actually a sculpture that shows kelp from an underwater view, complete with fish swimming around it.

(3,968 posts)I was wondering if you were subtly documenting the rapid desertion of farms by undocumented workers, and subsequent non-availability of crops in the market.
Sorry for the confusion.
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,362 posts)The farms around here have apparently not been bothered by TFG's goons, and the workers are showing up as they always do.

The sculpture is a fascinating subject. The framing and the silhouette of dark leaves on the blue and white background set the photo apart from the rest of the collection. I love this photo, Peggy!
The rest of the photos are splendid, as always. The romnesco is the standout.
Your closeups are getting better with each weekly market post!
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,362 posts)I hardly know how to respond. I tried to get an optimal view and it turned out that I needed several views to do that!
I was thrilled to see such a gorgeous display of the romanesco.
And I profoundly thank you for your confidence in me that says I'm getting better with the closeups every week. It's a fine line between encouragement and over-hyping me. I do know that you mean what you say.

(36,480 posts)The leaves on those trees against the sky look like artists brushstrokes. Im glad you included a closer shot of the fish decorations so we can see them up close, too.
Everything else is your usual high standard of eye-catching.
I have a painting of apples pouring out of a basket much like your photo on my dining room wall
. done by a great aunt.
Very nicely done!
CaliforniaPeggy
(153,362 posts)I wanted to show the details of the tree so you could figure out what it is.
Ah, I could be another great-aunt of yours! The apples just looked so beautiful.
I truly appreciate your support.
