Related: About this forumFriday night in my city of beautiful beings (28 photos)
I did a wee bit of street photography at last night's Celebrate Lancaster in downtown Lancaster, PA. We're a deep blue city in a crimson county. Our city council and mayor are Democrats and we have a diverse population of people from all over the planet. Folks feel free and safe to be themselves here.

(25,600 posts)choice that Pres. Biden gave us vs. his leaving the race, w/ Kamala, he has definitely proved that he knows what it takes to put America first. Not tRUMP. Definitely not tRUMP. Hell, everything you see tRUMP, you wonder if he's going to keel over right there and then!
Idiot is the ultimate selfish person that I know of, and there isn't a single bone in his body harping for America obviously. He's knocked literally every demographic there is, just about.

(97,551 posts)I'm okay, just "cruisin'" during the lull of late summer. Garden is doing well, I'm liking the slow pace that seemed to evade me for so long. It's like a darkness has lifted for sure.

(79 posts)Lancaster, PA (from the label on sign with the clock face). I am wondering if this was a special festival, or just a random Friday night with pleasant weather?
Story-telling with photos. Lovely.

(38,065 posts)Everyone looks so happy. And how nice to see both young and old having fun together. Just celebrating a beautiful summer evening and being themselves.
Compare to a Dump rally where everyone is old, white, and mean.
For the life of me, I cant understand how anyone on the right doesnt appreciate this.

(8,336 posts)Lots of great pictures. I especially like the first one of the lady and her dog. All of these pictures tell a story or at least prompt us to imagine what is their story. The blond lady in the second picture for example, has an interesting tattoo which appears to be relative to the native American culture.

(89 posts)Thank you for sharing these. My partner and I camp several times a year in that area and always have plenty to see and do. We usually stay near Intercourse. The campground is for ages 16 and above which suits us as were childless cat dudes.

(87,449 posts)Discovered the Beatles the first night they appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show. And I was HOOKED! As were millions of other teen and pre-teen girls. I remember keeping count of how many Beatle pictures I had (from how many fan magazines) and I gave up when it got up into four figures.

(455 posts)Having grown up in Binghamton NY for 50+ years we were familiar with the Lancaster/Reading PA area. Visited there a few times but never saw it quite like the photos.. I always thought of Lancaster as Amish country and that was quite interesting and lovely in its own way. But these photos .how wonderful and diverse it has become. Must be a great place to live.
