It did look brighter than usual last night! I first saw it through some trees too, and had to wait to get the photo!
But once it emerged, I had a clear shot and I took advantage of that!

It was fairly windy the night I got that photo, so I wasn't sure it would be this sharp.
Image stabilization in lens and camera really works!
