Markarians chain and the virgo cluster

This is a group of galaxies knows as Makrarians Chain and the Virgo cluster. Its a group of an estimated 1300 galaxies with a lot of them in the area of 50 million light years away from earth. The bright galaxy near teh top center is M87,one of the largest and most massive galaxies in the nearby area, many times larger than the milky way

the second photo has a lot of the larger galaxies labled

shot in my backyard over a 5 hour period this week

this is IC 342 called heh hidden galaxy. Its located behind a lot of dust that making it harder to see. the galaxy is about 11 million light years away
