Spectacular atmospheric and lighting conditions for something called "wing fluff", condensation forming on the wing at slow speed. On approach to Tampa International (TPA). A sampling, all can be seen at https://jamesdevore.smugmug.com/60-YEAR-JOURNEY-IN-PHOTOGRAPHY/A-LITTLE-BIT-OF-EVERYTHING/PLANESPOTTING

The Spirit to Miami June moon is my favorite. Thanks for the link!

(9,747 posts)those moon shots take a lot of time, a little effort and mostly a lot of luck. I have become familiar with the routes out of Orlando to the west of me, both routes for approaching and departing flights to TPA and three routes to and from Miami. I'm always watching the moon rise and set times and calculating when it is likely to be near those routes, but then there's the weather wildcard. When I get a good one, it's worth the effort!
