They remind me of Andy's work. He would do minimalist photos like these; they're very effective in their simplicity and elegance.
Yes, Andy did something similar and took it to another level with his photo-box studio. I've been experimenting with lighting and backgrounds.
I did get one and have had some good times with it.
He loved seeing people grow!
