I recall hearing of The Manhattan Transfer back in the day, but they never got radio airplay and I wasn't going to spend $4 to find out what they did. Thanx to streaming, I now have had the blinders removed from my ears and have achieved a new level of campy awareness.
The MT have seen many iterations of the group, each one with its own style. This is the third and most commercially successful.
For better or worse.

(347 posts)They played outdoors at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans and arrived to the stage on an elephant/ elephants.
Their voices really are that good, and Alan Paul was so handsome.

Or fall off and break a leg, as they say in show biz..
