I simply can't imagine a world...

In which John Coltrane had never existed.
Look up the word "sublime" and you will find this track.

Released in March of 1961.
John Coltrane: tenor saxophone
McCoy Tyner: piano

Tyner was twenty two when this was recorded.
Enjoy!

That is how I feel about Larry Bird (the greatest basketball player of all time).

That is how I feel about Joe Calzaghe (the greatest boxer of all time).

The joy I have received and still receive from watching their concerts, games, and matches are immeasurable !!!!!!!!!!!

YouTube enables me to watch them in all their glory.

He is truly magical. The world was given a gift the day he was born.

Are you familiar with his 2024 album (One Deep River) ???

It is on my TV right now thanks to YouTube.

It is excellent !!!!

Scavenger's Yard has some serious filthy guitar licks.

His solo career is filled with so many fantastic songs.

Dire Straits was spectacular.

It's in 6/8 time but that piano part makes it seem It's in an odd time signature.
Obviously John's playing is superb, but there is some serious drumming on this too!
Also, the piano solo (after the block chords) starts with only one note being hit at different timings for 15 seconds before another note is hit. Talk about creating tension!.
