Dr. Jimmy - The Who (Warning: Violent Content)

I have been reluctant to post this song from my favorite band. Your opinions...

To me, it's vile, disgusting, raw, beautiful and poignant.

It's also one of the best examples of Keith Moon's brilliance and one of the best vocal performances of Roger Daltrey.

In the context of Quadrophenia, it depicts the point where the main character has hit rock bottom.

If you have ever been a juvenile male, you've acted like the character of Jimmy in the song. That's just a fact!.

To me, Jimmy's misogyny and toxic masculinity is NOT aspirational...it's cautionary.

You could give Quadrophenia to any 16-19 year old in the world, and they would get it.

It's really about the spiritual growth, and what a difficult time 16-19 is for EVERYONE.
