If you know Photoshop and Major League Baseball, I have the job for you

Last edited Fri Oct 4, 2024, 08:22 PM - Edit history (1)

I get LinkedIn job postings all the time, and this one from the MLB Home Office is looking for someone to work with baseball photos. What you'll be doing is captioning photos, transmitting them to Getty Images and the AP wire, and posting them to MLB's website and the 30 team websites.

I know how to use all the technical stuff they want, and I can get one of my Sports Desk people to teach me how to do the uploads...but the extensive knowledge of baseball they're looking for is above my paygrade. If you seriously know baseball, this would be a great job for you.

(I removed the link but it's easy to find the job there.)

Post the abbreviated link. Please don't post shitty links that feed Vance-Thiel's data hoovering

Your motivation is admirable. You were being thoughtful of DU readers who might enjoy the opportunity, but you could have done better.

This is the link you should have posted:

https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/3883540753

That's all you needed. And then the first replier would be able to see the Linked In post (oddly, it may require blocking cookies like I do).

If you don't know how to trim links, try it! But you say you have tech superpowers. Start by trimming the question mark and the rest off. That's all I did. If that is too much, then try trimming less. The "trackingId={identifying_data_redacted}" right after the question mark should have alerted you.

You too can become capable of this superpower. Starve the faux libertarian billionaire beasts.

It's yet another way you can be thoughtful of and care for DU members and visitors.
