Anonymous Artists Mock Trump With Giant Gold Toilet By Lincoln Memorial

WASHINGTON — Anyone visiting the Lincoln Memorial this week will get to see a brand-new monument right next to it: a gold toilet mounted on a 10-foot-tall marble throne, hailing President Donald Trump for making a bathroom renovation his top priority. Anonymous artists installed the faux marble structure early Monday morning to mock Trump for spending his time remodeling the Lincoln Bathroom at the White House instead of addressing pressing matters facing the country.

“In a time of unprecedented division, escalating conflict, and economic turmoil, President Trump focused on what truly mattered: remodeling the Lincoln Bathroom in the White House,” reads a plaque on the throne, which is titled “A Throne Fit For A King.”. “This, his crowning achievement, is a bold reminder that the President isn’t just a businessman, he’s taking care of business,” it reads. “It stands as a tribute to an unwavering visionary who looked down, saw a problem, and painted it gold.”

Asked for comment, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said Trump was “overwhelmingly elected” to redesign a bathroom in the White House. “President Trump is making the White House and our entire Nation’s Capital more beautiful than ever before,” Ingle said in a statement. “The president will never stop working on behalf of the American people and fulfill the promises that he was overwhelmingly elected to do.”

It could be intentional. These creative people doing these artistic protest pieces are very savvy. littlemissmartypants 7 hrs ago #11

I don't know what's gotten into spelling. YouTube videos, titles, slide decks, things the authors should have checked, are all over the place too. And I'm not talking about speech to closed-captioning. I mean spelling errors. Mistakes. Does no one proofread their work? No spellcheck? No time for spellcheck?

There is an advertising/persuasive speech technique called "The erroneous conclusion."

The technique is that a mistake is made somewhere in the conversation or on the advertisement, which starts a dialog leading to discussions about not just the error but the circumstances surrounding it. Creating a buzz.

The simplest form is the reversal of a letter on store signage. That can actually lead to someone walking into the store to inform the management of their "error" therefore providing the store with a possible customer.

Edgar Allan Poe's short story "The Business Man" is a satire, and "Based on the search results, "bussinessman" (often misspelled) appears frequently in social media posts, memes, and content tagged with #satire, #parody, or #humor. While sometimes a simple misspelling of "businessman," it is used in satirical contexts to mock or caricature greedy, corrupt, or pretentious business figures, often in political or parody posts."

did the "dancing" 45/Epstein sculptures (with 2 variations now of that).

Good ole Poe. I used to work not far from his Philly house and have been in there (it is a tourist attraction - he wrote "The Raven" there) -

Even after I corrected it.

Sometimes it seems like it wants to make people look dumb.
