Pakistan carries out airstrikes inside Afghanistan as 'open war' on border continues
Source: AP
ISLAMABAD (AP) Pakistans military, backed by artillery and air power, struck more military installations deep inside Afghanistan overnight after Pakistan said it was in open war with its eastern neighbor.
Pakistan on Saturday claimed more than 330 Afghan forces had been killed since fighting erupted Thursday night during a broad Afghan cross-border attack into Pakistan. Afghanistan rejected the figures as false.
The casualty figures provided by either side could not be independently confirmed.
The fighting was in response to Pakistani airstrikes in Afghanistan last Sunday. Pakistan said it was targeting the outlawed Pakistani Taliban, or TTP. The group is separate but closely allied with Afghanistans ruling Taliban. Afghanistan, however, said only civilians were killed in Sundays airstrike.
After the Afghan attack, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif declared Friday: Our patience has now run out. Now it is open war between us.

(31,831 posts)and Turkey and Syria to start lobbing bombs at each other...
You have a world war stretching from Europe all the way to India.
Ukraine, Russia, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, USA, and the Gulf States are already in armed conflict. Good news is that 3 ( or possibly 4 ) of those nations have nuclear weapons!
Add the Caucus region plus a flare up of Turkey / Syria... and you have a serious WW3.
Hope that China and India ( 2 more nuke nations ) don't get ideas.
All because ( mostly ) one guy with a small mushroom dick got his wee wee bit by a 13 year old who didn't want to give the old pedophile a BJ... and she told someone what happened ( and then told the FBI ).
Thousands of people will need to die to keep this a secret.
