Charles Kushner reaches out to French foreign minister after protocol breach

U.S. Ambassador to France and Monaco Charles Kushner on Tuesday reached out to French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot seeking to resolve tension after missing a meeting with his counterpart, according to The Associated Press. Kushner, the father of President Trump ’s son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner, skipped a Monday meeting where he was summoned by the French government to address comments from the State Department’s Counterterrorism Bureau regarding the death of 23-year-old Quentin Deranque.

Deranque, a French right-wing activist, was allegedly beaten on Feb. 12 amid fighting that erupted between far-left and far-right activists. He later died as a result of brain injuries. The State Department’s Counterterrorism Bureau last week said “violent radical leftism is on the rise and its role in Quentin Deranque’s death demonstrates the threat it poses to public safety,” in a post on X.

The message was later shared by the U.S. Embassy in France, which raised questions for leaders in Paris, leading Barrot to summon Kushner to the Quai d’Orsay. During Kushner’s Tuesday call with Barrot, he addressed questions about the U.S. remarks about Deranque and was warned against foreign interference, the French foreign minister’s office said, per the AP.

Kushner “took note, expressed his willingness not to interfere in our public debate, and recalled the friendship that binds France and the United States,” the office added, noting the two agreed to meet in coming days. The U.S. Embassy in Paris also confirmed the meeting in a statement to The Hill.

If you are an ambassador to a country and that country’s foreign minister or Sec. of State or some
kind of national leader sets up a meeting with you BE THERE.

BTW didn’t Charles Kushner spend some time in prison for some kind of scam?

The Kushners being scorpions...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Scorpion_and_the_Frog

The Scorpion and the Frog is an animal fable that seems to have originated in Russia in the early 20th century. The fable teaches that vicious people cannot resist hurting others even when it is not in their own interests and therefore should never be trusted.

Just a reminder that this guy paid a prostitute to try and seduce and tape his brother-in-law having sex with her, so that he could blackmail his sister into not testifying against him.

The French don't want to deal with a criminal scumbag who thinks he's too good to do his job.

It takes a really sick mind to think of that kind of plan but that kind of depravity didn’t fall far
from the Kushner tree. Jared gave up the Washington Post’s writer Kashoggi to Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman who had him cut up alive in exchange for paying off Kushner’s property
in Manhattan.

Again diplomacy 101 if you are an ambassador to a country and you have a meeting scheduled
w/a leader of the nation to which you posted you go to that meeting.

Actually it's LONG PAST time! I'm guessing the French were offended whenever Charles Kushner was given the Ambassadorship to begin with, since he'd only been sprung from jail a short time before that.

Kushner received one chance, and he flubbed it.
