Trump administration scrambling to rehire workers cut by DOGE to fill critical government roles

Source: msn/The Independent

11h

Departments and agencies across the federal government are scrambling to fill crucial roles left vacant over the Department of Government Efficiency’s mass firings and deferred resignation offers. For months, DOGE has demanded departments and agencies dramatically downsize as part of efforts to cut government spending. Some employees have been incentivized to leave with early retirement offers or buyouts. Others, such as probationary employees, have been dismissed.

But now, those same departments and agencies have been left understaffed and are struggling to get workers back. Between experienced employees who took early retirement offers, those who found jobs in the private sector, and those uninterested in returning to a chaotic environment, the government is having trouble filling roles. The Food and Drug Administration, which has let go of at least 3,500 employees since April, rescinded the reduction-in-force notification three weeks after initially sending it.

One FDA employee told the Washington Post they only agreed to return because they hadn’t found a new job yet. “Being back feels like a funeral,” the employee said. “Morale is terrible. Everyone is stressed and feels the absence of our colleagues.” The employee said they plan to find a new job.

The FDA also appears to be hiring at least 17 new permanent roles, according to USAJobs. Postings show multiple openings for investigators, physicians, and regulatory specialists. Within the FDA, the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research has sent desperate emails asking for “timekeeper” volunteers – people who handle necessary administrative tasks such as pay, leave, and travel. The chaotic firings and rehiring are occurring in agencies across the government.

If a miracle would take place, and the dems were to suddenly get a veto proof House and Senate, and President, it would take a fortune, and decades to straighten out all the damage that has been done in the last 8+years, let alone the last 45+ years.

And that wouldn't resolve the problem of having to still deal with many powerful, Tyrant/Dictators in the larger nations: Russia, China, etc.....
All of them run by persons that are un-questionably, Psychopaths......

A president making temperamental snap decision that take everyone by surprise is always going to lead to chaos and problems.

For example, you can't announce new border rules on Friday that go into effect on Monday because you're going to end up jailing unsuspecting Canadians who are on vacation at Disney.

Trump Supreme has no patience for how government works, and thus frequently ends up inconveniencing large numbers of civilians and even government officials who learn of big sweeping changes for the first time on social media. Governing by tweet and on a whim is always bad news.

I know this is being done because they know when these things are reviewed and questioned they would be delayed or rejected.

They’re digging deep. I have gotten at least two of these “volunteer” offers. Found in my spam folder.

We cannot even imagine the plots and plans they have already thought about.

But it is not a good plan for them. They want people to work for free.
But don't want to pay for their food and housing.

Now the Krasnov regime is backing down (TACO).
I like reading they are scrambling to fill those positions. This is going to be disastrous for the country and the citizens. They didn't care when they were dogeing everything. But now are asking the American people to help out buy taking volunteer jobs.
Wondering if you take one of these positions you have to swear loyalty to Yam Tits.
These departments were already dead, there's no way to bring them back.
And spacenazi will be blamed for it all!
But why? Am I such a sick individual ? That I'm quietly laughing on the inside.

Some of the scientists may have already taken jobs in Canada or overseas.

Trump tries to have it both ways.

Many of his MAGA supporters are anti-vaxxers but he wanted credit for the COVID vaccines.

But he did none of the scientific work for the vaccine.
Also, he was not president when the genome project was developed.
It is part of his pathology that he does not take responsibility and wants to take credit of the success of others.

COVID vaccines helped us out of the COVID crisis.
He has hired anti-vaxxers and proponents of quack treatments to key healthcare positions.

This is probably the height of intellectual arrogance.
To assume that COVID will not mutate; there will not be a different pandemic; or some other healthcare crisis.
There are recent reports that COVID has mutated.
What would have happen to the death tolls if RFK Jr was in charge during the first administration?

GOP is about to create a healthcare crisis with their latest bill.
Millions could lose their healthcare coverage.
But no one that Trump hired is saying anything.
They were hired for their loyalty; not for healthcare expertise.

DOGE has crippled multiple federal agencies, without any significant deficit reduction as the difficult task of repairing the damage goes on.

But that may not be the worst of it.

PIRACY of sensitive government records on US citizens may very well be the crime of the century. Who now has this data on all of us, and how will it be used -- for private enrichment of the tech kings, or surveillance and power by a king in the Oval Office? Maybe both?

Courts have ruled against this ongoing theft, but the supermajority "conservative" Supreme Court -- that gave Donald Trump immunity for "presidential acts" -- has stayed that ruling, allowing the theft to continue.

Like everything he does it's just for the publicity for his cult, he could care less if there is a smaller workforce he promised to cut government and the media ate it up and so did his cult. If they need to rehire all of them that doesn't matter to him because everyone will run around thinking he cut useless workers and saved tons of money.
