Trump claims Nazis treated Jews with love.

In his latest rewrite of European history, Donald Trump made a ridiculous and sympathetic declaration about the Nazis.
Amid the tariff chaos he spurred, Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office Monday, where he was asked by reporters about his plan to bring about the release of the 59 Israeli hostages being held captive in Gaza by Hamas.
In typical Trump fashion, the president dodged the question and went on a bizarre rant that seemingly remembered Nazis for … their sympathy.
“I said to them, was there any sign of love?” Trump said, recounting his conversation with released hostages.
“Did the, Hamas, show any signs of like, help? Or liking you? Did they wink? Did they give you a piece of bread extra? Did they give you a meal on the side? … Like, you know, what happened in Germany?” Trump said, absurdly comparing the hostages’ situation to the Holocaust, which murdered six million Jews.
“People would try and help people that were in unbelievable distress,” the president went on, suggesting that the Nazis were known for their generosity.
“No, they didn’t do that, they’d slap us,” Trump said the hostages told him about Hamas, while sitting next to the man who is currently leading Israel’s genocide in Gaza. “Their hatred is unbelievable.”

Ohio which has been the home of the Klan and produced or had hosted a number of the Neo Nazis
who took part in the marches and violence in Charlottesville, VA where they chanted the Nazi
slogan “blood and soil” (blut und boden) as they Marched with torches. In a speech he praised
Robert E. Lee for his skill in the Civil War and then said that “International Money Men” (Jews) were
paying for caravans of illegals to come up through Central America and Mexico to the United States
shortly thereafter a Trump fanatic attacked The Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill, PA.
Btw I was in Chicago when the Squirrel Hill shootings happened and it wasn’t till the next morning that
I found out a friend of mine from Ohio U that her family wasn’t hurt in the attack. That was a very long night for me.

Everything from Schindler's List to stories about people hiding Jews from the Nazis, to what little he knows about the actual Holocaust. Just all these little disconnected scraps floating around in whatever's left of his brain at this point in time; and he's not capable of sorting through them and making connections or judgments about what any of it really means, or what kinds of comments are grossly inappropriate.
But the fact that he evidently has such a positive view of the Nazis as well as a seeming lack of awareness of how negatively most people (everyone, but especially Jews) view them is very telling, I think, In regard to how much his brain has been damaged by dementia.
Whether he's babbling this garbage due to a dementia-riddled brain or true malice is almost beside the point, imo. Actually believing that Nazis did nice things for Jews is horrifying, but a potus being so mentally incompetent that he can't even remember the most basic facts about Nazis and their deliberate but ultimately unsuccessful attempts at genocide is equally disturbing, afaic.
Either way, he is clearly approaching the "you can dress him up but you can't take him anywhere" (except maybe on a "good" day, and those are getting fewer and farther between) stage in his mental decline. If he was not surrounded by sycophants who are willing to bend over backwards to cover for him, we would likely have seen many more instances of him making bizarre comments about all sorts of things by now.
I don't know how Blondie (I refuse to bother learning her name) will spin this, except that it's bound to be 100% pure, platinum plated b.s. If it wasn't her, it would be another willing toady. Sometimes I almost miss Sean Spicer, who at least had enough sense to look uncomfortable when he was lying his ass off for Schlump.

... other things. First, that Hamas is worse than Nazis; of course, some people will extend that to anyone in Gaza. Then, t are more expendable. Also, masses of people should love their Dear Leaders unconditionally. A hostage preparing to enter the gas chamber should still love Dear Leader. Maybe the guard helped you in, instead of shoving. We should be grateful to Dear Leaders for all they do - even if it's a Q&A on FOX "news" or a bit of bread when you have no money for food.
