In March, SB100 advanced through the Senate Community Affairs Committee on a 5-3 party line.

However, on Monday, the bill was “withdrawn from further consideration”. Celebrating the news was queer, Democratic Florida State Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith.

He tweeted, “Randy Fine’s bill banning Pride Flags from public buildings is officially dead. 🎉

“Not one Senator was willing to advance SB 100, which was just officially withdrawn from consideration. 🤡”
