WASHINGTON, April 8 (Reuters) - U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi will lead a Justice Department effort to enforce gun rights protected under the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, according to a memo seen by Reuters on Tuesday.
The effort will use lawsuits and government policy to push back at attempts to limit gun rights, Bondi said in the memo.

(768 posts)To arm up their Brownshirts, since they might not be able to count on all of the military to do their dirty work. However, this should be a cue for the opposition who are willing to be trained, to also arm themselves. The probability that the shit is going to hit the fan only seems to be increasing. However, if you are not willing to get sufficient safety and marksmanship training, don't even consider it.

(150,791 posts)They have it easy though. They don't have to "arm them up". That kind is already "armed up", owning dozens of firearms. DOJ's job is to now ignore any criminality carried out by them and if something does happen, to send it over to the President for a pardon and/or commutation.
She will just be "running interference" to make sure that anything illegally manufactured and sold to enhance the lethality of those weapons, is allowed to be in existence.

(768 posts)My wording was imprecise. But the goal is still an attempt to benefit their Brownshirts. Including criminals who would otherwise be prohibited from owning firearms.

(406 posts)Guns are now the leading cause of death of minor children in the US. Other countries think America is insane to allow such an access to guns. Many Americans have been lied to and told that they need guns to protect them from the Government even though the Government has a thousand times the fire power of all of the guns in private hands in the US. Plus if a segment of the US rebelled, the Government would just blackade food imports and cut off water and electricity. The revolution would end pretty quick. 150 years ago it would be different. Today there are mass gun deaths in America every day and they are not reported in the press unless they are extreme. There is a documentary from a few years ago which is about just the gun deaths in America in one 30 day period. It is horrific.

You all screwed up! We got 350 million guns. I'm expecting blood as soon as they cut off all those red state Social Security deadbeats.

(8,229 posts)Given the decisions of the SCOTUS since Scalia, gun rights are stronger than ever, stronger than they should be. Gun rights are not in danger.
And doesnt this idiot have better things to do?
