Berkshire says posts claiming Warren Buffett endorses Trump's economic policies are false

Berkshire Hathaway is denying claims made in a social media video that Warren Buffett endorses President Donald Trump's economic policies.

The statement from the Omaha-based conglomerate Buffett chairs was in response to a video circulating on various social media platforms, including on Trump's account on Truth Social. The video suggests Trump is intentionally crashing the market to lower interest rates and make things more affordable for the middle class.

The video also claims that Buffett "just said Trump is making the best economic moves he's seen in 50 years." But a Berkshire press release said these claims were false.

Buffett did not endorse Trump or any other political candidates in the 2024 election because of "numerous fraudulent claims" about his endorsements, according to a separate Berkshire press release.
