The Dow futures are currently trading 1,200 points lower, while futures linked to the S&P 500 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq are down 140 points and 570 points, respectively. As of Thursday's closing, all major benchmark indices in the US have either slipped into correction territory, meaning a 10% drop from the peak, or into a bear market, meaning a 20% drop from the peak.

The Dow Jones is down 10% from the top, while the Nasdaq has nearly slipped into bear market territory with an 18% drop from its peak. The smallcap Russell 2000 index has slipped into bear market territory already with a 22% fall from the top. The two important triggers for today's session include the Non-Farm Payrolls data for March and Fed Chair Jerome Powell's speech, his first after the reciprocal tariff announcement.

He and the Heritage Foundation, though, would turn their religion into the law of the land, along with giving the green light to crypto scams and AI taking over the government. I’m not sure which would be worse at this point. Of course, Republicans will never impeach Trump. Most of them are lemmings willing to follow him over the cliff.

4. The Dow, which you quote is not the market. It is the 1896 adding machine price weighted index. Use SP500. nt
