The Dow futures are currently trading 1,200 points lower, while futures linked to the S&P 500 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq are down 140 points and 570 points, respectively. The Dow Jones is down 10% from the top, while the Nasdaq has nearly slipped into bear market territory with an 18% drop from its peak. The smallcap Russell 2000 index has slipped into bear market territory already with a 22% fall from the top.
