Harris' campaign launches new ad aimed at persuadable Republicans

Source: NBC News

RIPON, Wis. — Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign is launching two new digital ads in battleground states featuring a past supporter of former President Donald Trump on the same day that the Democratic nominee is set to campaign in Wisconsin alongside Republican former Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, according to a campaign official who shared the ads exclusively with NBC News.

The 30-second ads feature Matt McCaffery, a lifelong Republican who voted for Trump in the past, explaining that he is supporting Harris because he believes the former president will hurt the middle class and is not taking responsibility for past mistakes.

The videos are part of a seven-figure paid media strategy aimed at critical swing voters and a larger effort by the Harris campaign to court Republicans and former Trump supporters. The campaign has also hired strategists to focus specifically on conservative voters, held events to engage Republican voters in battleground states, launched Republicans for Harris to help organize grassroots programs, and rolled out endorsements from prominent Republicans.

McCaffery, who lives in Pennsylvania, embodies the type of voter the Harris campaign hopes will back her as polls show the race remains close.

I think we have to make trump's age the primary issue. He's dementing so publicly, so clearly and fully. mpcamb Yesterday #6

In the Florida Panhandle! There’s more Harris/Walz signs here than Trump signs. Last year there were a lot of yard signs and pick-up trucks flying banners. Haven’t seen the first truck flying a banner.

I remember back in 2008 seeing the "Republicans for Obama" signs in the neighborhood where one of my sisters lives in suburban Philly.

I am hoping the more we see of that, the more it bodes towards an Obama-like turnout, which is what is needed to thwart shenanigans!

Yes he did.
Oh well. I hope that fallibility makes him more believable to people who tend to repeat false shit all the time.

no one - INCLUDING the "media" will say that 45 DID NOT ATTEND BIDEN'S INAUGURATION ON JAN. 20, 2021, which was a historical first. Pence was there though.

In no way is he going to be functioning in 4 years- or 6 months for that matter.
Make candidate mental health the prime issue.
Stress that he couldn't govern, didn't even understand the process during his term.
He's devolved into an elderly cranky get-off-my-lawn neighbor who's looking
for ways to punish anybody who opposes him or did in the past.
Worse, he has no plan or program except his money.

There. There's an ad ready to be made. Get the right voice, tone, delivery.
It's a direct punch in the gut. Irrefutable. Central to why people choose a candidate.

And for chrissakes, stop treating him like he's a statesman!
He's a clown, a pompous, ignorant, arrogant, infantile version of one.
Pointing it out to him enrages him... so DO IT!
