This is not the Steele Dossier of 2016, with its golden showers and anti-Trump fanfiction. Unlike the Steele Dossier, which was both fraudulent and discredited, the Vance Dossier is factual and intelligently written. No Jason Bourne style capers appear, and there’s no sleaze. Instead, the Vance Dossier enumerates pretty reasonable liabilities as a then-contender for VP nominee, including:

“Vance has been one of the chief obstructionists to U.S. efforts to providing [sic] assistance to Ukraine.”
“Vance criticized public health experts and elected officials for supporting Black Lives Matter protests while condemning anti-lockdown [Covid] protests.”
“Vance ‘embraced non-interventionism.’”
“In 2020, Vance criticized President Trump’s airstrike killing Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, worrying it would continue to bog down America in the Middle East to the advantage of China. Vance suggested that the country had been entangled in wars in the Middle East so ‘financial elites’ could profit from the rise of China.”

So the document is clearly newsworthy, providing Republican Party and conservative doctrine insight into what the Trump campaign perceives to be Vance’s liabilities and weaknesses. Those perceptions provide clues about what a campaign of remarkably little substance might actually think.

It was published without permission in 2017 as an unfinished 35-page compilation of 'unverified, and potentially unverifiable'[a] memos that were considered by Steele 'to be raw intelligence — not established facts, but a starting point for further investigation.'

Unverified does not mean fraudulent and/or discredited. What it means is that the raw intelligence memos required further investigation.

Who is Ken Klippenstein? Why does he say the Steele Dossier was fraudulent and discredited? The only possible way he could know that is if he worked on Robert Mueller's investigation.

If Mr. Klippenstein has seen the unredacted Mueller Report, I wish he would leak it to the public. If he has not, (and it's my guess that he hasn't) he'd better shut up about the Steele Dossier.

3. I skimmed the dossier - it's fascinating how Vance has done a complete 180

from most of his previous positions, statements and opinions - and that Trump and the GOP wanted him to be the VP candidate anyhow. Apparently Vance is a completely unprincipled empty vessel, and I'm guessing that precisely because he has no principles (other than intense misogyny) he's being positioned by the billionaire tech bros and white supremacist/Christian nationalist groups to be their puppet for the time when, certainly in less than four years, TFG becomes either totally incapacitated mentally and/or physically and he gets the 25th Amendment heave-ho, or he drops dead. There's no other explanation.

7. Yes. That is my assumption re: Vance. But, I think Trump's compos mentis state is rapidly degrading.

And there may well be worry that the trajectory is so unexpectedly rapid-- as observed by those surrounding him-- that he might not fool even our determinedly blind, deaf and dumb MSM much longer.

9. I look for T to be 25th amendmented within weeks

Of assuming office. I don't think it'll be years. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened in his first 180 days. T is too stubborn and self serving. Heritage Foundation only likes that when they think they control the guy. And it's obvious T can't be controlled. Vance takes on the demeanor of whoever is paying him. He has no values, no ethics, and no moral center. Just like Heritage likes them.
