The Trump regime, Republican lawmakers, and state and federal courts have all made it clear they will stop at nothing to suppress the vote and subvert the will of the people. We know the GOP will use every tool at their disposal to rig the midterms and intimidate voters before, during, and after Election Day, from gerrymandering to interference with vote-by-mail to refusal to certify election results.
That's why Indivisible is countering Republican shenanigans with an aggressive Battlegrounds program to WIN and PROTECT elections in key states that are particularly vulnerable to GOP tampering. If you can, please pitch in to support our election protection work and empower our movement to win critical House and Senate races and enforce the results of the midterms.
We must respond to threats to the foundation of our democracy and protect the integrity of our elections, including guaranteeing people can access early voting sites, combating voter intimidation at the polls, and ensuring every single vote is fairly counted. But how will we do that? Through our Battlegrounds program, we’re organizing on the ground, having early conversations with voters, establishing and training our Election Defense Corps, and building capacity for massive GOTV efforts.
Indivisible’s Battlegrounds program is focused on election protection in Alaska, Iowa, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, and Texas. These seven states each have critical US Senate races, high potential for election suppression and subversion, and need more infrastructure than what’s been provided by the Democratic establishment. Rest assured, these aren’t the only states where we’re going to be active this election -- we’ve endorsed in Maine’s Senate race and already have canvasses going in other important races. But these states have unique circumstances where early organizing, infrastructure building, and election protection could make all the difference.
This work is expensive. We’re training teams in election protection tactics on the ground, providing resources to groups mobilizing to get out the vote, and supporting statewide structures to defend democracy. We have an entire Battlegrounds team at Indivisible that is leading this work and organizing across our seven priority states to secure critical victories and ensure the will of the people is respected and enforced.
Your contribution will help us deploy a full-scale operation to protect our democracy before, on, and after Election Day. Our organizing depends on grassroots donations, and with your support, we can build the infrastructure we need to win House and Senate majorities and stop GOP election suppression and subversion so we can ensure the fighters we help elect take their seats next January.
Even with GOP gerrymandering and Trump’s attempts to interfere and intimidate, 2026 could very well be an historic wave election. We weren’t blowing smoke about winning the Senate -- it won’t be easy, but the data suggests what was once unfathomable is now very much within the realm of possibility. But to do it, we can’t simply rely on dissatisfaction with Trump and Republicans -- that’s enough to get voters not to support Republicans, but not enough to convince them to get out there and vote for Dems.
If we want to build a wave this year, we’ve got to field good candidates who aren’t just peddling the status quo. That’s what we’re doing with our primary program. Then we’ve got to build trust with voters. That’s what we’re doing with our Battlegrounds canvassing programs that aim for thousands of contacts with voters before canvassers talk to them about voting in November. And finally, we’ve got to make sure voters can navigate suppression efforts and that the results of the election are honored. That’s what our Battlegrounds voter protection program is all about.
