You know, I think this guy is onto something about trump/Ossoff

Max Fawcett, a Canadian journalist on bluesky, dropped this gem a few minutes ago: What I don't think Trump realizes is that declaring Ossoff as "illegitimate" immediately positions him as the 2028 front-runner for the Democratic nomination. He'll be doing more to help elect Ossoff than anything a political super PAC would ever dream of achieving.

Think about it. Trump is so unpopular now that anyone he hates is going to be the recipient of a lot of love. And such attacks will of course shine a spotlight on Ossoff, who has proven that he has the chops to handle it.

So go ahead, donnie. Take your best shot!

Kind of like that quote from FDR, which I can't remember exactly, but something like he wears the criticism of corporations, etc. as a badge of honor. We really should have taken up that rallying cry against trump long before this, but if we're starting to now I'm all for it!

And he spoke in words that the average American could relate to. He didn't hold back, he pretty much said what he meant, so there was no second guessing him. I think that he both knew himself and knew his audience. If he had political advisers constantly whispering in his ear, I'm quite sure he kept his own counsel for the most part.

a 'mild but EFFECTIVE' DSR Platform to independents and fence sitters; that could make AOC a running mate and goad most people into not worrying about it.

The kind of candidate that can, for lack of a better phrase,
crush MAGA and hock it as 'giving the republican party back to itself', but first we need to get rid of ALL the trumpers from office..because we need a 2 party system (blah blah blah), but we NEED both parties to not be nuts.

THOSE are FDR numbers in the making.

Except dictatorial rulers from other parts of the globe who he really hates as well but they get to do whatever they want and he hates that he cannot do so here, despite his trying to achieve that distinction.

I am not sure that being the recipient of his vitriol is necessarily a thing to celebrate, since he slings that towards everyone, including his own kids.

But, it may have some effect.

Polls she she is like 10X the support of anyone else, including Newsom, but that leaves her in the mid-30s which is probably close to her ceiling.

What that tells me is that despite all the passion many of us have for fighting what is going on, 80% of the public is STILL not paying attention.

Thanks. At this point name recognition is going to propel Harris into the lead. We have to remember that most people do not live and breathe politics, especially future politics like the 2028 race!

He believes the Republican party belongs solely to him, and would hate the idea of any Republican other than him or a family member being president in the future.

Even though he would want Democrat Ossoff over any non-family Republican, I seriously doubt he's thinking that far in advance,
