Keeping His Eye on the "Prize"

Since it appears we’ve now created another “forever war” in the middle east, something an orange hued presidential candidate vehemently campaigned against, it might be helpful to revisit how we got here.
As with most things Trump, the rationale is not that difficult to discern, and not at all complex.
No doubt there was some sort of grift involved, as there always is with Trump. Nothing he does, or has ever done, is without some kind of “what’s in it for me” grift.
My guess is he (or one of his whisperers) thought it would be super easy to shake down the Iranian Mullahs:
“Nice country you got there. Just deposit a few hundred billion or so in this offshore bank account, and we’ll let you keep it.”
Problem with the plan was they didn’t do their research, naturally.
The Iranian people actually do believe, and sincerely practice, their religion. They don’t just pretend to perform it. They also have a sense of honor that goes back to the founding of civilization.
After we killed their leaders (including the father, sister, and nephew of the new leader), destroyed much of their infrastructure, and annihilated 150+ little girls at a school, they were in no mood to play ‘let’s make a deal’ with a two-bit hoodlum.
This is why the negotiations go nowhere. Any progress made gets instantly derailed when Trump chimes in demanding his money:
“Where’s my money you crazy bastards?! I WANT MY MONEY OR YOU'LL BE SORRY!!”
But the grift wasn’t the reason he attacked them. It was part of it, of course, since he can’t help himself, but it was a secondary afterthought.
The primary motivation, and simplicity of it all, can be summed up with this hypothetical conversation:
Netanyahu:
“Sir, you pull off this regime change, which undoubtedly will be the easiest thing you’ve ever done, bringing everlasting peace to the Middle East, and it is a 100% certainty you will win the Nobel Peace Prize. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they carve out an extra special one just for you, since what you accomplished would far exceed anything Obama did.”
Trump:
“Get Hegseth in here. AND FAST!!”
Like I said, when dealing with a narcissistic toddler mentality, it’s never that complex.

Trump looked into the mirror.

Said: "I need weapons of mass distraction!"

Bibi said: "Don't be stupid. Be a smarty. Join the Likud bombing party" or look like my byotch. And besides, I have these videos of you and little girls if you don't. "

EVERY, repeat, EVERY thing he has done since Jan 2025 has been to distract from Epstein and avoid the consequences of his sex, blackmail and money laundering partnership with Epstein.

But with the MAGA crowd, or even the 'republican lite', we have to keep offering something new. But yes, there is something in those files so terrifying, that even they do not think they can spin their way out of it.
