The weaker our government, the more power will go to corporations and their wealthy owners.
It is in the interest of people like Musk, Theil, Bezos who want no accountability, no regulations, no taxes.
They see government as their rival, and representative democracy as a direct threat to them.
Thus, they foist people like Trump and Co. on us so we think the government is nothing but incompetent, malevolent nut-jobs.

(2,887 posts)Lets face it, the Epstein class though the orange idiot, wrecked the federal government. Hes destroyed all the medical research, environmental protection, IRS, economic regulation, consumer protections, etc.
Its going to at least a generation, if at all, to get back to even.
Also, we cant go back to pre Trump times. Need a revolution, not a tweak.
