Surprise! NBC:Trump Says He Won't Rush Into An Iran Deal, Softening Hopes For

An Imminent Deal

As I wrote yesterday it was all more gaslighting. Anyone, including and especially the media, who continues to fall for this amateur reality show BS is either in on it or unbelievably stupid.

But here we are. Again.

but I'm referring to the trump administration's assurances yesterday that a deal was going to be announced yesterday. Of course, that all fell apart. And we've been through this cycle dozens of times now.

The pallets of foreign currency will not go over well IF we get a look at them.

Iran is cut off from the world banking system and can’t hold any US currency.

A more palatable move for most countries would be removal of sanctions and foreign investment commitments. That way Iran gets the effective benefit of reparations, and it doesn't look like a complete sellout. I don't think this is the best path, but I could see how negotiations go there.

He only really has bad options, but he cares about himself more than anything else. So if the best option includes personal humiliation (which most of them do) he won't do it. Allowing this to continue with the narrative being that Israel doesn't want a deal is politically bad for him. Neverending ceasefire with elevated gas prices is also politically bad for him. They are all bad options for him.

The only thing he could do that is good for him is probably bad for Israel. That's a combination of ending the war, getting a nuclear agreement, and no tolls in the strait. That basically takes him back to the Obama deal, which is also politically bad for him, strategically and militarily bad for Israel, but lets him save face.

by the Dems and even some Rs have been signaling that. He is a very simple person. His jealousy of Obama started this and seems to be keeping it going. His own party doesn't seem willing to let him call a deal worse than what he had a "win".

I get what you said in another reply on the money. I just don’t know how transfers would work.
