The existential crisis of the liberal conscience...
They have the power. What can we do?
Can they truly be that stupid? Can they truly be that dangerous?
How could anyone be conned so easily?
We never imagined that we would be in such a vulnerable situation with our democracy. We took it for granted.
We (they) elected a dictator.
He drove the country up to its eyeballs in debt. He tore apart our alliances, such as NATO. He befriended our enemies, such as Russia and North Korea. He is suing the IRS, taxpayers, for $10 billion dollars. He sued the DOJ for $250 million dollars. He tore down the historic East Wing of the White House and didn't ask anybody for approval. He threatened to destroy a civilization and to wipe them off the face of the earth. He started a war of his choice in the Middle East and we do not know what is going to happen? And on and on and on....
If you are not worried, you haven't been paying attention. It is you that will be face down on concrete with a boot on your neck. People talked and people warned and the supporters of the dictator refused to listen. He was their God.
Liberals have no political power to speak of. They hope to gain political power with the elections in November. The dictator has taken control of the DOJ, and all the intelligence agencies, including the FBI, and all the departments of government. Many believe he now controls the Supreme Court. From that perspective, he is in total control of our "government". He will tell you, through his propagandists, what you need to hear.
If you are a liberal, or just someone that cares about your country, then you have every right to be concerned.
We still have our freedom of speech and right to assemble, at least for the time being. Use it at every opportunity.
