Poll: Americans Overwhelmingly Oppose Trumps Strikes on Iran - Mother JonesAbout half of respondents-including one in four Republicans-said the president was too open to using military force. The poll surveyed 1,282 US adults starting on Saturday, following news breaking of the strikes.
Even before the attacks, Trump's handling of Iran was unpopular. Back in January, a Reuters/Ipsos found that only 33 percent of Americans approved of (his) policy with Iran, while 43 percent disapproved.

(6,109 posts)How little has been done to address your concerns, things designed to distract you kind of fall flat. tRump doesnt live like the rest of the real people live so he isnt familiar with the price of groceries. He doesnt pull out his check book and write checks to pay bills or go to his banking app to make payments for his insurance or car. But millions of us do that regularly so we know if prices are going down or not.
When tRump does things to distract, it is pretty obvious. But with his limited experience of everyday life, he doesnt know his efforts to make us think about or worry about something else are futile. When youre worried about making ends meet and have no way to stretch any more of your budget, he is just so much noise and flapping of his arms. Somebody needs to tell him its not working.
Oh, and release all of the Epstein files. We can walk and chew gum at the same time if we want to.

(8,734 posts)How does that translate to overwhelmingly oppose. THAT's hyperbole. LOL
How do you not know if you support or oppose a racist criminal regime using the military in a criminal manner?
That's hedging because you're too concerned with looking like a murderous asshole or looking like a woke beta.

A true Trump bootlicker.
Bootlicker- is a derogatory term for someone who behaves servilely or excessively flatteringly toward a person in authority, hoping to gain personal advantage, favor, or promotion, often seen as lacking self-respect and being insincere.

(12,874 posts)Now we've got 3 U.S. dead and 5 seriously wounded the latest I've read...
So it's not a zero U.S. casualties situation like the strikes on Iran last June, or the Maduro regime-change operation, that some may have expected again, so I will be watching for polls taken after that news.

(20,434 posts)Im not surprised so many are undecided. The regime has done nothing to communicate their objectives which is an unforced error. Because of that, most of the 29 percent will probably break the other way. That compounds as the initial barrage fades and the hardliners are still in charge in Iran.

(7,785 posts)Some talk of another unneeded and undeclared war, the ignorance of the need for countries overseas for self-determination, the cost in human lives, the 'existential threat' to Israel and the USA of Iranian nukes being an excuse rather than a fact, etc.
Other just go 'good on ya America!' and ignore everything else.
Unfortunately my local TV source, ABC Australia, usually level headed in its reporting, is in the second group, going as far as putting file film of US aircraft launches off carriers and missile launches from ships on an endless loop.
Our own version of Fox News.
Meanwhile, Iranians living in Australia cheer in the streets, believing this is the end of autocratic theocratic rule in their own country, and tomorrow democracy will rule.
They will be disappointed.
