Watch Democratic lawmakers join 'People's State of the Union' rally during Trump's address

More than two dozen Democratic lawmakers plan to to attend the "People's State of the Union" rally on the National Mall on Tuesday night instead of listening to President Donald Trump's address inside the House chamber.

The rally is expected to begin at 8 p.m. EST. Watch live in our video player above.

Progressive groups MeidasTouch and MoveOn.org will host the event, featuring federal workers, immigrants and others affected by Trump's policies, according to a press release.

It will be cold, in the low- to mid-thirties, enough so that turnout won't be what it might have been. Would it have killed the organizers to have found someplace indoors where they could hold this?
