(113,155 posts)without having to go to Facebook? I never had an account (well a throw-away one for my dog for about a year to which I never posted), and now it keeps demanding I register, which I am not going to do.
You post a lot of interesting content (or at least it seems as though it would be) but I'm just left frustrated... Maybe someone here has a solution for making FB text, images, video content more universally available?

(150,818 posts)It came up again today, though, in the OP.

(105,805 posts)since it apparently is "advocated" (rather than, say, "recommended as an exciting watch" ). So those who haven't watched on Facebook might also think that.

Time references often get slippery online, it seems.

(76,102 posts)I agree with the author.
As to participation numbers, I doubt that's and issue.
The Nordic countries probably have had women doing it, sanctioned or not, for a long time.
Just those countries, the US & Canada and the number of competitors is a non-problem.
I always figured it was based on some archaic "too dangerous fir girls" thinking but causing infertility is dumber than I expected.

(150,818 posts)We never seem to get it quite right, somehow. Of course, we also overestimate our own sturdiness. Humans. Buncha dumb animals.

(76,102 posts)There are local businesses around here that don't have a website, only an FB page.
Even if I open in a new tab, if it does allow me to continue, I can only scroll down so far on the page before the pop-up to register hits, and at that point, there is no way to close it.
And lime you, I'm not registering just to read more than the last few posts.
MineralMan
(150,818 posts)It contains this story and more, without FB.
