One method the DOJ could use to game the Epstein files would

be to plant numerous false documents in the mix which seem to implicate Trump’s involvement, and which the DOJ can later debunk. This would cast doubt on all such files. Fox and the right-wing echo chamber can then call it all a “Democrat hoax”.

I’m not saying this happened, or that what is surfacing is phony, but it’s good to bear in mind that none of these files are necessarily verified. Among the documents released is an AI video purporting to show Epstein in his cell attempting to hang himself. The video is a known fake that’s been on YouTube since 2020.

I think most of what we’re seeing is genuinely damning for Trump, but it’s good to maintain a bit of perspective.

Lots of pieces. Some fit. Some do not. I assume investigators collect lots of pieces not knowing which ones fit.


Like you, I do not trust this DOJ, given their track record of dishonesty, so I try to absorb what I read and hope those victims who have come forward will offer some context or corroboration.
