TX-18: Harris County Clerk clears up confusion amid special election to succeed Sylvester Turner
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — The special election in Congressional District 18 may be daunting enough for voters with 16 candidates from multiple parties in the race, including current frontrunners Amanda Edwards, Christian Menefee, and Jolanda Jones.
"It's a lot of names on there, of course," said voter Lunita Williamson. "But I did my homework before I got here, so I had pretty much made up my mind who I was choosing."
Further complicating things are potential boundary changes thanks to recent redistricting by the Texas Legislature.
That's something many voters may already think are in place.
