Carney: But this decades-long process of an ever-closer economic relationship with the United States is now over. And as a consequence, many of our former strengths as a country—more particularly, our economic strengths based on close ties to America—have now become our vulnerabilities…

Irrevocable and previously unimaginable damage has been done to US relationships.

is gone all because of the GOP traitors who favored loyalty to a criminal rapist over patriotism.

A good portion of our populace are very short sighted and let their guard down by not taking what he told us he would do seriously. "Oh, that's just trump being trump." "It's all just political talk." "It could never happen in the US." "Both parties are the same, so I don't vote." "I don't follow politics." "I voted for him because he was an outsider with no D.C. ties." I heard a version of each one of these from various people.

And during WWII.

One third of the US population loves what Trump is doing.
Their hatred and racism are their only values.

One third doesn't give a damn.

One third cares but has no power.

I have tried to explain the 1/3 thing to people for decades, based on my observations in my early adulthood in the 1990s on how the republicans / so called "conservative movement were so course, hateful and wrong headed in their positions and how the "liberal media" and so called independents indulged their fuckwittery relentlessly, while feeding into their negging of dems/liberals.

We have been pushing mud since that time ...

WE care, the "middle" doesn't care and even worse because they don't care or pay attention they fall into the the never ending slander of dems libs that the right screams about 24-7.

Might start caring if our economy starts going sideways. But I’ve been waiting for real consequences from Trump’s idiotic policies to finally take effect for months now. Haven’t seen any real evidence of that in my locality as of yet.

Has long been misattributed to mean support regarding the American Revolution, while in reality he was writing about the French Revolution: that one third of Americans supported the French Revolution, one third against it, and one third neutral.

Russia is a close second, but the US literally supplies the weapons for Israel to commit genocide.

about Canadians crossing the land border and having their pictures taken and being finger printed. They are warning others do not go. I guess we will have to change the names of the Peace arch and Peace bridge to something more suitable.

... because they think they'll get to rule over the ashes of whatever's left after Trump's Revenge Presidency ends when he finally dies.
PSSST! Hey Republicans! Your Randian fantasy land is an impossible crock of shit! You will have destroyed America for nothing. You will be despised, hated, and reviled for centuries to come, and rightly so. Trumpism is a virulent cancer and YOU turned it loose on America. There will be NO forgiveness, and NO mercy. If and when you're released from prison, you will live on the fringes of decent society under watchful eyes. You will never get the chance to commit such evil ever again.

In Tolkien's Middle Earth, the hideous Orcs were once noble Elves that were captured, tortured, and transformed.

Trump is as close to unmitigated EVIL as is possible in the real, nonfictional world.
