Trump's Ignorance

During a meeting with the leaders of several African nations at the White House, President Trump complimented Liberian President Joseph Boakai’s command of English.

“And such good English, that’s beautiful. Where did you learn to speak so beautifully?” Where were you educated? Where? In Liberia? Well, that’s very interesting. It’s beautiful English.”

Wait for it……..…English is Liberia's official national language.

This is information the staff of a normal Presidency would provide the President, but that didn’t happen because Trump is an idiot who thinks he’s a genius.

This didn’t happen because Trump’s staff is just as ignorant, stupid, and racist as Trump.

Indeed, a normal president would know better than to say something so stupid; a Democratic president wouldn’t have said something so racist.

Too few Americans know anything about the rest of the world. They assume that other countries are third-world backwaters. They have no idea how much of the world is more advanced with better living conditions than much of the U.S.

I can’t find the source right now but a huge number of Americans never travel more than 200 miles from their homes. Yet they think they know what life is like in other countries. How dumb do you have to be to not know you’re dumb?

Face it, Trump got elected— twice!— because far too many voters are just plain stupid. As the expression says, Trump is a poor person’s idea of a rich person and a stupid person’s idea of a smart one. It’s pathetic.

7. A Presidential aid would have needed to give him that information?

If he had just stayed awake in fifth grade history class, he would have known that Liberia was founded by American-born Africans, and that English is the national language.

Plus, English as the national language is in the very first paragraph of Liberia’s Wikipedia article.

Jesus, this is a stupid administration.
