'That's not true and you know that': CNN host shuts down MAGA guest in front of viewers

CNN host Brianna Keilar found herself having to fact-check America First Policy institute Executive VP Chad Wolf on Tuesday after Wolf claimed more than once that former president Joe Biden had levied no enforcement of U.S. immigration.

During the interview, Keilar pointed out numbers revealing the Trump administration had increased arrests of immigrants with no criminal record by more than 1,400 percent. Wolf excused Trump’s clumsy mass arrests as a necessary ’s response of having to “deal with four years of a completely wide-open border that the Biden administration left the Trump team.”

It was after Wolf’s second attempt at blaming Biden that Keilar spoke up.

“You'll see almost if you look at four years of the Biden administration, you'll see absolutely no one removed. Right? Which is why we're in the crisis,” Wolf said.

“That’s not true and you know that,” said Keilar, which caught Wolf off-guard.

“Excuse me?”

“That's not true,” Keilar repeated. “You're saying no one was removed?”

Adrian Rogers was a horrible human being.

Cecil Sherman (the Coordinator of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, a group of moderate Baptists who separated from the Southern Baptist Convention) writes in his autobiography that he once questioned Rogers about biblical inerrancy with reference to New Testament passages that seem to support slavery. Sherman reports that Rogers replied: "I believe slavery is a much maligned institution; if we had slavery today, we would not have this welfare mess."

Rogers was an adamant supporter of the pro-life movement, had stated that the institution of capital punishment is spiritually ordained, and (along with other Southern Baptists) supported a boycott of Disney because of the company's promotion of homosexuality.

In May 2003, Rogers, along with twenty-four other religious leaders and persons of influence, signed a letter sent from Gary Bauer's conservative organization American Values to President George W. Bush. The letter criticizes President Bush's proposed Road Map for Peace initiative as being too lax towards the Palestinians. The letter states in part, "Mr. President, it would be morally reprehensible for the United States to be 'evenhanded' between democratic Israel… and the terrorist infested Palestinian infrastructure."

On the topic of pastoral endorsement of political candidates, he wrote that it is a pastor's duty to influence the political decisions of the members of the pastor's congregation. A pastor need not, however, endorse a specific candidate (and, under Internal Revenue Service regulations, a church could lose its tax-exempt status for doing so). He wrote that "f [a pastor] has done his job his members will prayerfully and correctly use the standard of God's Word to select the right candidate."

Familial dynamics was a recurrent issue for Rogers. He focused most closely on fathers that he labeled "drop-out dads." According to Rogers, since the Bible emphasizes the paternal role in a family, the father should be the primary source of teaching in the home. He was critical of fathers who do not fulfill this role: "We have dads today that are interested in sports, business, and sex. They've forgotten their God-given assignments to teach the Ten Commandments". He went on to say that social problems, such as gun violence, are the consequences of fathers avoiding this responsibility.

I witnessed the Fundamentalist takeover of the Southern Baptist Convention
The current takeover of US Democracy by Rethugs and Oligarchs gives off the same vibes, has the same stench to it

I can’t blame him. They obviously really don’t expect to be called out. Must be very shocking for him.

It's the new CNN, after all. Where the goal is to out-do Fox "News" in promoting fascism in the USA.

4. What a despicable liar

Not only is his claim blatantly false, Biden deported people at a higher rate than Trump has so far. So Biden was deporting MORE people than Trump. And he managed to do it without deporting innocent legal immigrants (unlike Trump where 2/3 of his deportees have committed no crime) and preserving due process for everyone.

Justice matters.

8. Keilar's right, but it's complicated & Wolf knows Fox audience is ignorant. Biden dealt with covid refugees

and didn't deport as many criminals as Obama or Trump. One big difference in the numbers besides covid refugees -- Biden 'took care' to use due process.

Biden by the numbers:

Fiscal Year 2024:
The Biden administration deported 271,000 people, the highest number in a decade.

Post-Title 42:
In the year following Title 42's termination (May 2023 onwards), Biden officials deported or returned approximately 740,000 individuals, exceeding any previous year since 2010.

Total Removals and Returns:
Combining deportations, expulsions under Title 42, and other actions to block unauthorized entries, the Biden administration's total repatriations reach nearly 4.4 million, more than any single presidential term since the George W. Bush administration.

These numbers include formal deportations, expulsions under Title 42 (until its end), and other forms of removal.
Biden's higher deportation numbers are partly due to a large increase in illegal border crossings.
The Biden administration prioritized the deportation of individuals who posed national security threats, serious criminals, and recent border crossers.

People would demonstrate in front of his house on a regular basis. I think he moved. I haven't seen the two SUVs that were parked in front in a long time.

Thu Jul 30, 2020: Attention DUers: If the weather's nice, I might personally surround Chad Wolf's house tomorrow,

at least in Real Clear Politics's interpretation of the word "surround," which they apparently define as "being in the public street that runs in front of the house where Chad Wolf lives."

It's on the way to the Safeway, and if it's not raining, I might go up there on my bicycle to pick up some food.
