Pentagon Creates New 250-Mile Military Buffer Zone At Tex-Mex Border

The Department of Defense is establishing a new military buffer zone—known as a national defense area—along the southwestern border to curb illegal immigration.

On June 25, the U.S. Air Force announced that a 250-mile stretch of the border along the Rio Grande in Texas’s Cameron and Hidalgo counties will be designated an extension of Joint Base San Antonio.

Is this in addition to the existing "Constitution-Free Zone" which, based on the 2007 census, already encompasses nearly 2/3 of the U.S. population?

(Note, the map above just shows the 100-mile border zone, not the new, 250-mile buffer zone. See https://c-cyte.blogspot.com/2008/10/us-authorities-stake-out-constitution.html for more about the 100-mile zone.)

There have been border patrol checkpoints many miles from the border for years...

However, NOT 250 miles.

But now this “zone” is an extension of a military base. So, soldiers could be stationed……wherever there’s a base.

That would mean that the entire state of Florida was a military base, because hardly any of it is less than 250 miles from "the border", which would be the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf.

The DOD needs to attach the ‘new area’ to a designated base and it may very well mean that most of the continental US would be under military jurisdiction. At least, this is what I think. So, it would mean that the land is occupied by a branch of the military. Thus, could there be soldiers in patrol? I think that’s where we are headed.

This is being done to put fear in the hearts of the citizens that we go along with the fascist coup.
