A Republican Administration Approved Melania's Visa

Melania Trump (née Knauss) was approved for an EB-1 visa, also known as the "Einstein Visa," in 2001.
This visa is granted to individuals with "extraordinary ability" and "sustained national and international acclaim" in their field. She began applying for this visa in 2000 when she was working as a model in New York and dating Donald Trump. The approval occurred during the Republican administration of George W. Bush.
